Meet Your Host
Community Values host Traci Donatto is a disabled leftist queer femme Jewish gal from Texas through and through. Having grown up astride the Houston Ship Channel commuting from Dayton and Mont Belvieu to Deer Park, and having lived in Houston, Austin, and New York City, you could say she’s a bit of an expert on rural, urban, and industrialized America. Professionally, she’s a public policy wonk (urban planner by trade) with a real interest in what makes places work for people.
Outside of paid wage labor, she’s on the core team for the Houston pod of Jewish Voice for Peace, a member of Houston DSA, an outspoken advocate for criminal justice reform, an avid participant in the disability justice movement in Texas, the environmental justice movement in the Houston Ship Channel area, and several local mutual aid efforts in Houston.
